The story line was pretty intense, I think the animation fit it pretty well. The music was good. It was a very interesting approach. The switch in perspective was cool.
Well animated, the shuttle launch scene was especially nice with respect to detail. Music was appropriate in a literal sense. Concept was perhaps a little short lived, it would have been nice to see the outcome of the shuttle and pilot post-explosion.
The animation job was very well, I'd venture to say that it looks near-professional. The concept is really almost grim and the animation was pretty serious but it still didn't come off as feeling too heavy. Initially I was worried when you decided to use a real man's face because animating a real face poorly can come off kinda creepy. The inclusion of AfterAffects was a nice touch. I dunno how you will be graded on that though. I guess it's not that big of a deal since we all used multiple programs to make this.
The music and characters were by far my favorite. The music was so fitting and transitioned very well. The character transition from first to third was really a great idea! The character and setting on land were also very interesting because they were clearly separates, but they also blended so well. By far one of my favorite pieces created.
Animation concept is about the end of the Earth from space. The animation is creative, I like the choice of perspective and the use of video game graphics to create a new original animation. I am not sure I fully understand the main characters personality. I do not know what after effects are, I wish that you had used Flash more often because I do not know after effects it is hard for me to understand how things were done. Character and background development is aesthetically pleasing and cohesive. The music and sound effects were great for the animation.
Details like integrating sound effects, dials changing, etc. created a very specific mood. The settings and characters, especially in the beginning, were very suggestive as well in terms of how the audience will feel. I enjoyed the use of actual photographs, which allowed me to feel as if this story was nonfictional, and allowed me to assume the perspective of the character. My only question was the choice of the song at the end, which seemed to be in contradiction to the somber tone of the overall aesthetic.
This project was very different from everyone elses' in the tone. The animation was extremely clean, it's hard to believe this was done in flash. My main complaint is that this does not feel like a cooperative effort. It feels very much Mark and no Kelsey. I wish that the story actually had "Kelsey" in it, and not all Mark. I feel like Kelsey was the victim of a controlling, strong personality throughout this project.
Very well animated as expected. The music fit well. It was super creative and the video game aspect was awesome-sauce!!The transition with the soldier was a little odd
I think that this project is well done. However, I think that the two halves of the animation are done in two very different styles. I feel as though the animation could have been a bit more cohesive so that there wouldn’t be such a huge jump from styles.
3: The concept wasn't too much of a departure from the stories hollywood has been appropriating for a while now. 2: wasn't really sure why or how this person was able to be the final living person and why he needed camouflage. 3: The music didn't make me feel that this person felt lonely by the catastrophic event but that he was over it before it began. 2: Could incorporate a more unexpected plot twist. Over all though the movie does flow to show you're abilities to work together.

ReplyDeleteThe tone of the animation is grim, gritty, war and the images and sound meld together to create this. Good job.

Character Background/ development 4 /4
Although depressing there is no question what the character is doing. There are no ambiguous movements that are hard to understand.
Animation, Music, Etc. 3/ 4
The music was hard to hear in the beginning.
